but I just couldn't get a really good photo of Ariann. But, here she is anyway:
I made the longer sleeve version and decided to not do the decreases up the sides. I prefer a less fitting style for myself, so I didn't do the tie belt as the pattern called for. I also went from the bottom to the top with buttons spacing them about every 15 rows apart. She is a little on the big side because I steamed the heck out of her. After knitting her, she was all curled up and her beautiful eyelet pattern could not be found.
Here is a close-up of the buttons I decided to use:
The yarn is Jo Sharp Silkroad Aran in the color Hemlock. I bought this yarn from Bonne Marie some time back and I thought it should be used on one of her designs. This was perfect. I think I bought 14 50 gram balls. I used 3 for the hat that I knit a couple of weeks ago and I have two full balls left over---meaning it took 9 balls or 837 yards to complete the sweater.
So this is my January completed sweater for . One down 11 to go.
My next finished project is the little red sweater that I knit for Maggie at Christmas and only needed to put the buttons on to finish it up.
This is another poor photo. The sweater is a basic cardi in a size 2T. I used Lion Brand Cottonease that I bought right before they discontinued the line for a while. Needles were US# 5 and US#6.
What lovely sweaters. Congrats!
